Freedom of Information Act 2000

In common with all publicly funded bodies, The Open University and Faculty of Mathematics, Computing and Technology complies with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

The Act came into force on January 1st 2005 and procedures are in place to deal with requests which cannot be met from the normal University Publication Scheme described on the University's central FoI Website.

Freedom of Information Requests

Freedom of Information requests must:

  • be made in writing (e.g. letter, email)
  • state the name and address of where the information is to be sent to
  • provide sufficient information to help us identify the information required.
